Medical disposable Syringe include insulin injection pens (insulin pens or special filling devices), insulin syringes or insulin pumps. Insulin injection pens can be divided into insulin pre-filled injection pens and insulin injection pens with replaceable refills. So, how is the Medical disposable Syringe used?
When using, pull out the cap, unscrew the refill holder, insert the refill into the refill holder, and then snap the refill holder onto the pen body until you hear or feel a "click", then mix the refills. Insulin preparations already contained inside (such as suspension insulin).
1, install the needle
Use 75% alcohol to sterilize the rubber film on the tip of the refill, take out the special needle for insulin injection, open the package, tighten the needle clockwise, and the installation is complete. Take off the outer needle cap and inner needle cap of the needle in turn during injection.
2, exhaust
There will be a small amount of air in the needle or pen core. In order to avoid injecting air into the body and ensure the accuracy of the injection dose, it is necessary to vent before injection. First adjust the corresponding value of the insulin pen, straighten the pen body, push the button of the injection pen, the dose display will return to zero, and insulin drops will appear on the needle tip.
3, adjust the dose
Rotate the dose adjustment knob to adjust to the required number of injection units.
4. Disinfect the skin
Use 75% alcohol or sterile cotton pads, and wait for the alcohol to evaporate before injecting. If the alcohol is not dry, inject it, the alcohol will be carried under the skin from the eye of the needle, causing pain.
5、Into the needle
Pinch the skin with the thumb and index finger, or add the middle finger, and then inject. The injection should be fast, the slower, the stronger the pain. The angle of needle insertion is 45° (children and thin adults) or 90° (normal weight and obese adults) to the skin. When choosing to inject insulin into the abdomen, you need to pinch your skin and avoid the area around your belly button.
6. Injection
After the needle is quickly inserted, the thumb presses the injection button to inject insulin slowly and at a uniform rate. After the injection, the needle stays under the skin for 10 seconds.
7, withdraw the needle
Pull out the needle quickly in the direction of needle insertion.
8. Press the injection site
Use a dry cotton swab to press the needle eye for more than 30 seconds. If the pressing time is not enough, it will cause subcutaneous congestion. Do not knead or squeeze the puncture point to prevent it from affecting the insulin performance.
9. Remove the insulin needle
After the injection, close the needle cap and remove the needle.
10, final treatment
Properly dispose of discarded needles and other items, and cap the pen tightly after injection.
